Prayer for Mothers Considering Abortion or Who Have Had an Abortion
Dear God,
Most mothers really don’t want to abort their babies. Help all mothers, and help us help them keep their babies and bring them to see the light of day, providing reasonable and realistic options. We also pray for women suffering the after effects of an abortion. Help them examine their abortion experience, identify the ways that the loss has impacted them in the past and present, and help them acknowledge any unresolved feelings they may be struggling with after an abortion. Because of the emotional numbness and secrecy that often surrounds an abortion experience, conflicting emotions both during and after the event may remain unresolved. These buried feelings can surface later and may be symptoms of post abortion trauma. Give these women a contrite heart, forgiveness, inner peace and healing graces. We make our prayer through the name and the power of Jesus who is Lord forever and ever. Amen.
Prayer for those considering abortion
Heavenly Father, You who breathe life into creation by the power of the Holy Spirit and make each and every person in Your image and likeness, send forth the Holy Spirit anew upon those who are contemplating an abortion. Dispel their fears, comfort them in sorrow and grant them courage to choose to bring forth this new life into the world, which is a precious gift from You. Provide for them love and support from those around them to help ease the burden they carry at this time. Help them to see the light of Your face and Your joy. Delight in them and their child and grant them a spirit of wisdom and understanding to direct their path.
Mother Mary, you experienced misunderstanding for your unexpected pregnancy. Pray for your children who are contemplating an abortion. Intercede for them before the throne of God that they might have the grace to give life to their children and teach them how to give of themselves in self-sacrificial love as you did. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer For Mothers Considering An Abortion
Heavenly Father, we lift up the many mothers who are today considering an abortion, and pray that in Your grace You would direct them to make a godly and wise decision.
Lord, You know the individual circumstances of each and every woman, and the many arguments they may be using in their decision, of whether or not to abort the babe in their womb.
We pray that You would send godly counselors, wise advisors, and caring friends to come alongside them and offer them guidance, hope and comfort. We ask that, in Your grace, You would give them reassurance in their hearts, that abortion is not the answer to their problem, and recognise that You are the Author of life and hope.
We pray that You would convict many to discard their thoughts of aborting their baby, and trust You to lead and guide in the future choices they make. This we ask in Jesus' name,
